Green Expands to Victory Park

Charlie Green is on a roll. Neo is his latest project after opening Snider Plaza's Olivella's, which quickly generated buzz within the SMU and University Park circles. 

And now he's giving us a different take on pizza in Victory Park. Neapolitan style pies are taking the city by storm, but unlike so many of the newer establishments, none taste as genuinely fresh as Neo.  

We tried The Dream —sauce, house-made mozzarella, gorgonzola, pancetta, chicken, and jalapeno. The mix of ingredients meshed well.  The bites were spicy enough without overbearing the taste.

It's worth noting the increase in the aesthetic-conscious pizzerias around the Dallas area. Neo, along with Fireside, Coal Vines and others,  take satisfaction in creating an intimate mood to supplement your crust.  It was dark and modern with a traditional touch.  The location is conducive to downtown denizens and Victory Park lunch crowds. 

I wish it was a little cheaper… it'd keep me away from close competitors. But overall, great scene and quality pizza to match.
